Stable Gallery is open daily from 10 to 5 from mid-May to mid-October.
Located at 28 Water Street, Damariscotta, Maine, the Stable Gallery has a long history of exhibiting fine arts and crafts, representing Maine artists and artisans of superb quality and reputation. Housed in the actual stable attached to the house built by clipper ship builder Eldridge Norris in the 1850’s, the gallery makes great use of the original stalls, tack room and carriage room to present the best art and craft available from the talented artists in mid-coast Maine. The stables are faced and trimmed with black walnut and topped with unique cast iron decorations – a magnificent example of Victorian architecture that is well worth seeing.
